| Yayoi Kusama is considered the most popular, versatile and internationally successful artist in Japan. The mid-seventies was the work of 1929 in Japan-born artist in the same breath with the minimal art of monochrome painting, the new trends in Europe, Collage / Assemblage, and as a precursor to pop art mentioned. The artist himself denied that a categorization and commented: "Kusama Kusama only, nothing else." Until today, they realized new, spectacular environments, which in numerous exhibitions internationally and represents a strong reference to the circumstances of the respective exhibition spaces are to be seen. Yayoi Kusama broke early with the traditional Japanese way of life. End of the fifties were the political changes in her home for her cause in the United States to emigrate. In 1993, her artistic creations the highlight of her career when she was the only artist to the Japanese pavilion at the Venice Biennale designed. Her abstract Infinity Nets are reflected in the open-source-utopias of contemporary computer hackers and their points have a whole metaphorical anticipated era: the era of the dot.coms.
